Interior Paints
Changing your interior paint is the least expensive way to make a dramatic change to any space. We wanted to find a pre-mixed wall paint that we felt confident in its color, quality and consistency. We found the Canvas Home Basics Interior Matte Wall Paint and Paint System to not only be a great quality paint, but also a paint that does what they say it will do. Their technical team on the project jumped at the opportunity to create something unique for the interior market and for retailers like us and they met the challenge. The result is an amazing new line of acrylic/latex interior paint whose quality is comparable to the best of the best on the market. The innovative addition of Ceramic technology – placing the tiniest of ceramic beads into the high viscosity acrylic paint – made even better a paint formula that has been perfected over many years. You will enjoy the finish of this paint as it is velvety smooth and goes onto the wall in a one coat method. We were also impressed with their attention to the environment and use of renewable resources, recycled materials and a new formula that allows them to produce a paint with less than 50% of the VOC’s of most paints on the market today.
The most exciting part of the CHB Interior Wall Paint for us is the matching Tinted Wall Putty for each color in the palette. Now you can fill in holes anytime you want to move a picture or fill a small crack and you don’t have to spackle, sand and repaint.

Things to think about choosing a Wall Paint
Quality – your time and energy is the most expensive part of any paint project. The lower quality the paint, the more coats it takes to complete the project, so always choose a one coat paint.
Color – with so many colors available on the market today, the choice is overwhelming. A neutral color is the perfect choice for any environment, letting personal style come through While every Interior Designer has their own signature style, when it comes to recommending the most versatile color palette, most recommend a neutral palette. It is the perfect backdrop in any home environment. It is also the choice of realtors and new home buyers.
Environmental Impact – With so many paints available today touting environmentally friendly, organic, etc. it can be hard to discern which to choose. Many products market themselves one way, but do not perform as marketed. Most paints on the market today are required by law to meet environmental standards. Some states have much stricter rulings. Choose paint from a company that follows at or better than the laws set by Southern California, the strictest laws in the US and you will never go wrong choosing paint from a company you trust and feel confident in. Paints that range from 50 to 100 VOC’s are in at acceptable levels. The lower the better. Paints stating they have zero VOC’s can have other hidden factors and in many cases do not perform to the standards of other paints on the market. Chemists and Technicians are working hard every day to bring both technology and the environment together to improve how paints are made.
Durability – there are many paints and paint qualities on the market. Choose one that is washable with soap and water
Ease of Repair – all painted surfaces scream to house art, pictures and other wall décor, choose a paint and putty system that coordinates so you can easy move your wall décor and make simple repairs to the holes in the wall.
Working with a complete paint system – when choosing your paint, you want to pick a paint system that offers the primer, wall paint, trim paint and putty from the same company to ensure that warranties and guarantees are in place. When mixing you risk the chance of one product formula not working well with another formula and having to redo the project with no recourse to the manufacturers.
Paint Calculator – determine how much paint you will need before beginning your project, you can use our paint calculator or you can determine it manually. It is always better to buy your paints at the same time to ensure as close to color match as possible.
